I was very impressed with this keyboard as soon as I get out of the box. A really useful feature to display the music staff so that when you play chords can be sure that you press the correct button. It also features many other interesting, but I use more to learn to play and it seems great. Others have said headphones are terrible, I can most is opposed. They are not Bose, but more than adequate for my purposes. All too well. Overall I'm very satisfied with this product is.

Great quality and good package deal

I bought this for my daughter to practice her piano lessons on. It arrived within two days and seems to be very well-made. I particularly like that this has full-sized keys that are touch-sensitive, which is very important when first learning to play. The keys light up when played, which I thought was a little hokey at first, but soon discovered that it really does help my daughter find and retain the notes. The sound quality is good, especially on the "grand piano" mode. The song list is long and diverse. It includes many classics from Beethoven to The Beatles. Although the piano just "sits on" the accompanying stand, it is sturdy and the keyboard stays put. Have not had a problem with the headphones. If I could add anything on to this product it would be some kind of light indicating that the piano is turned on. My kids tend to forget to turn it off. All in all, this package is a GREAT value and quality made.

quality keyboard, just as listed, easy to learn

I was playing a kids keyboard for over a year. It's nice to finally learn how to play on a real keyboard. The stand holds up the keyboard just fine. I use the headphones while I play so i do not disturb my neighbors. Nobody can hear anything except for me. So I can play whenever I want.If your just learning or you already know how to play, it is a great overall quality keyboard. That will give me many years of enjoyment. Hopefully soon I will be able to play as good as my friend can. That is how I know it is good for someone who already knows how to play. Would recommend. I searched all over the place. Amazon.com gave you everything you pretty much needed to get started, at the best price around.

Best piano within the 61 key class

I am about 25 and have always wanted to learn how to play the piano. I wanted one that wouldn't be a huge investment, but would also have a great realistic piano sound and look good (so that I would actually want to play it). It sounds great, and the lighted keys make it easy to learn songs (but I'm trying to learn by reading music). Touch-sensitivity is a must, and this one sounds great. The headphones are cheap, but work. The stand works, but I think people are using it wrong -- don't slide the rubber grips on the top of the stand to the ends of the bars, but rather position them so that the keyboard rests on them (both sides and front and back). Therefore, the keyboard will sit on top of the stand and will not move/slide around unless you are really trying to move it. I would recommend this as a starter piano for people seeing if they would like to see if piano is for them before they spend $500-$10,000 on a "real" piano.

Yamaha EZ-250 Keyboard

This was a great purchase. Price was great since it included the stand and accessories. It arrived in 4 business days in perfect condition. Was easy to assemble and set up and the demo and lighted key fetures were teriffic. Learning seems to only require a little time and the sounds are great.

Great buy, good starter keyboard

--This was purchased for my daughter to have something to practice on while taking piano lessons, and I have been teaching myself as well. Granted, this is an "electric" piano so it does not have the sound of a real piano, but neither does a $2000 Yamaha. If you want a real piano just buy one, if your testing the water or if you need something small and easy to practice on this will certainly do. 
--Mine worked right out of the box and has had no problems. It comes with a song book and a detailed but easy to read instruction manual. The power supply is stamped Yamaha and contrary to other reviewers experiences I have had no problems. The stand also has worked fine for me. We have 2 large energetic dogs and they have not knocked it over yet. True, the keyboard does not snap or screw into the stand but so far it has been fine for us. 
--The touch sensitivity works really well considering the price, I can count about six degrees of loudness depending on how firmly the key is played. The keys are about the right size and they play well but again they are not "weighted" and they don't feel like a real piano but they don't feel cheap or poorly made either. There are 2 Grand Piano voices and a couple others and they sound authentic at first but the more you play the more acutely you become aware of the subtle "electric" sound, especially with any sustain. 
I'll update this if any major defects surface.
